Summary: this website collects no personal data. Your theme/language choices and consents stay on your own device. The contact form opens your own email app. Donations are handled entirely by external payment providers.
1. Who we are
Jamia Masjid Mohi-Ul-Islam Siddiqia ("the Mosque"), 124 Barking Road, London E6 3BD. Registered Charity No. [INSERT CHARITY NUMBER]. For any privacy matter, contact the Mosque office or email [INSERT EMAIL].
2. What this website collects
- Contact form: the form does not send or store anything on this website — pressing "Send email" simply opens your own email application with the message pre-filled. Your email is then handled by the Mosque's ordinary email inbox.
- Local storage on your device: theme (light/dark), language, your cookie choice, and that you accepted the Terms. This never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.
- Server logs: our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (e.g. IP address, time of request) for security and uptime. We do not use these to identify visitors.
We run no analytics, no advertising, no cross-site tracking, and no social-media pixels.
3. Third-party content
- Prayer times & announcements are loaded from the Mosque's Google Apps Script endpoint. These requests contain no personal data.
- Daily hadith is fetched from a public open dataset on the jsDelivr CDN. Only a public hadith number is requested — no personal data.
- Google Maps: the map is embedded by Google. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and standard browser data under Google's own privacy policy.
- Donations: donation links lead to external payment providers (e.g. bank or payment platforms). We never see or store card details; those providers process your data under their own privacy policies.
4. Lawful basis & retention
Local storage of preferences is used with your consent (withdrawable anytime via "Cookie Preferences" in the site footer). Emails you send us are processed on the basis of legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, and retained only as long as needed for Mosque administration.
5. Your rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of personal data, and to data portability. Since this website itself stores no personal data, to exercise rights relating to emails you have sent, contact the Mosque office directly. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
6. Children
This website is intended for general audience use and does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children. Madrasa enrolment is handled in person at the Mosque.
7. Changes to this policy
